I have purchased other olive oil products at both grocers and farmer's markets, and none can compete. It is rich and flavorful without being overpowering. Bought this from our local farmers market and never looking back. It’s got a peppery kick at the end so you know it’s high in polyphenols (good quality). We also love their balsamic. I eat both everyday! I might have already reviewed this but who cares, it deserves two 5 star ratings.

Truly a wonder
In this day and age of not being able to trust who and where your food comes from, it is a rare pleasure to meet the people whose family has been tending to the olive groves for generations. I've had fresh olive oil in Spain where it was processed mere miles from the restaurant I was dining and I really enjoy Laconic more. Whether for cooking, baking, salads, putting in yogurt (seriously y'all try it) and it excells.

I found Laconic Foods at an artisan market 3-4 years ago here in Chicago, It started with the taste of the oil and honey's. I was hooked. I think it is the best Extra virgin oil I've ever had. It has a nice soft flavor.The honey I tried was the raw Fir Vanilla. Never have I had such fresh non over sweet honey! And... It does not clump or get stiff over time. I enjoy it on waffles, fruit, ice cream and in my coffee and tea. I now have started ordering from them online as I have watched this small business take off. Customer service has always been above and beyond. For the past few years I have been giving my friends and family gift boxes filled with treats from Laconic. Everyone has been really impressed and wants more. What a find! And so happy to see them in a warehouse now instead of a table only at the Artisan Markets. They do ship and seeing is believing, watching them succeed and grow. I suggest them to everyone I know.

I used to always buy American honey but glad I found Laconic Foods. Since then, I have ditched American honey for Greek honey, which has a very thick but nice consistency and strong flavor. So far, I’ve only bought it three times since I discovered Laconic Foods recently but I always come back for more. It is definitely worth it!
